Overview

Located on the Macau University of Science and Technology campus at the Cotai area, University Hospital is the only medical system in Macau that combines clinical, teaching, and research support.

Formerly known as the "Macau University of Science and Technology Chinese Medicine Clinic”, the University Hospital officially evolved into a comprehensive hospital integrating both Chinese and Western medicine since March 25, 2006, through continuous talent development and equipment enhancement. In addition to outpatient and inpatient departments, Haemodialysis Centre, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Operating Theatre, the hospital is also equipped with advanced auxiliary medical centres, including Medical Imaging Diagnostic Centre, Department of Pathology, and a well-equipped Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Centre, offering a proficient clinical testing service in clinical biochemistry, immunology, haematology, serology of infection, medical microbiology, blood banking and transfusion.

Since 2008, the Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Centre has been certified by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) and Accreditation Canada Diagnostics (ACD) consecutively for attaining the comprehensive accreditation requirements of ISO15189.
